Central Heating Repairs — FAQs
Why is my radiator cold at the bottom?
Cold patches at the bottom of a radiator usually indicate sludge build-up. Individual radiators can sometimes be flushed, but widespread sludge normally needs a system power flush.
Why does my heating system keep losing pressure?
Common causes include small leaks on pipework or radiator valves, a faulty expansion vessel, or a leaking pressure relief valve. We can pressure-test the system to trace the fault.
Can you fix underfloor heating?
We repair wet (water-based) underfloor heating systems connected to boilers, including manifold, actuator and pump faults. We don't work on electric underfloor mats.
Do you repair systems in older Victorian properties?
Yes — much of our work in Kingston, Surbiton and Richmond involves older properties with extended or adapted heating systems. Our engineers are experienced with older pipework layouts.
